As part of the strategy team, you will have a critical role to play in helping Tailify advance the science of influence. You will have the chance to help our clients harness and leverage the power of influence to grow their business and become category leaders.

In other words, we look for a deep understanding of the ‘why’ behind every single influencer creative. To uncover this, we rely on data and psychology and adopt a scientific approach. We think of our campaigns as experiments. Experiments based hypotheses, which we continuously aim to test and validate. By adopting this rigorous approach, we aim to advance the science of influence and uncover its true most fundamental mechanisms.

What core skills do I need to thrive in a strategy role at Tailify?

Be a logical, creative thinker

Get ready to brainstorm! But not so fast. The best campaign creatives stem from thorough research and a deep understanding of the consumers you are targeting. For creativity to be efficient, there needs to be logic behind it. As part of the strategy team, you will be expected to turn your research and insights into creative ideas. You will need to think outside the box and combine concepts together in new ways to cut through the noise, whilst keeping client’s business objectives in sight.

What does this mean for your day-to-day?

  • Carrying out extensive research into our clients, their products and their industry
  • Joining creative brainstorms and contributing by putting your best insights and ideas forward
  • Having a good eye for graphic design and knowing your way around keynote
  • Being a visual person, who is able to build aesthetics mood-boards and content mock-ups to make ideas pop and come to life
  • Being able to create strong creative narrative and present your ideas with impact

An analytical mindset

As a strategist at Tailify, you will need to be curious and get ready to dig deep into research. You should have a strong interest in understanding what makes people tick and what it takes for a campaign message to influence consumers' decisions. You will also need to assess and measure the impact of our campaigns. Knowing your way around a spreadsheet and being familiar with basic qualitative and quantitative data analysis would definitely be an asset for this role.

  • Researching and staying on top of current consumer behaviour trends
  • Researching and staying on top of social media industry trends
  • Running qualitative and quantitative analysis of campaign data to identify high performing patterns

Be commercially savvy

As Neil Degrasse Tyson said: “being right is not enough, you also need to convince people that you are”. Being able to present ideas with confidence whilst building credibility and excitement is a critical part of the strategy role.

What does this mean for your day-to-day?

  • Regularly joining pitches and being confident with client interactions
  • Being a natural storyteller with great presentation skills
  • Giving a lot of attention to details and have impeccable writing and speaking skills
  • Being emotionally intelligent
  • Understanding clients and their needs

Be a good project manager

From carrying out research, to brainstorming and combining all the ideas into pitch decks, there is a lot to keep track of. Project management is a key component of the strategy role and you will need to be able to manage multiple accounts at once, whilst juggling different team members and coordinating their contribution to your proposals.

  • Being able to keep up with the fast pace of a start-up environment
  • Having thorough organisation skills and thriving off to do lists and workflow trackers
